On May 29th, 2012, Jim and Nadine received the most startling call of their careers. Jim's daughter saw their lab's building on the news, and it was ablaze. Shortly thereafter, they arrived on the scene to find there was little they could do. The fire that had begun in the unit below had grown too quickly. Over the course of a few hours, the building where California Dental Arts had been located since 1983 had been gutted. Tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment was lost.  

Three Months Later...

After the initial shock had begun to wear off, Jim and Nadine were moved to action. Through the generosity of long-time suppliers Ivoclar, Zahn, Pearson, Vident, J L Enterprises, and Bernie Just, as well as the aid of family and friends, the pair were able to continue their work with minimal delay. Three months later California Dental Arts had become JNR Dental Arts: a high-tech laboratory that dwarfed its predecessor in functionality and productivity. Built from the ground up to support a boutique lab's needs, the new space allows Jim and  Nadine's knowledge, creativity, and passion to shine once more.
